President: Megan Lowrance

Megan Lowrance is a Mechanical Design Engineer at Honeywell working on mechanical components. She moved to Phoenix after graduating from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in May 2022. She has been an active SWE member since joining her collegiate section and presented at the national conference in Los Angeles in 2023. Megan is excited to become more involved as VP and is looking forward to the upcoming year!


Vice President: Stephanie Busch

Stephanie Busch graduated from the University of Southern California in 2009 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering (Building Science) and an M.S. in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering). She has two daughters, aged 7 and 5, who will hopefully become engineers someday. After a 15+ year career spanning multiple roles from construction to software to supply chain at Intel, Stephanie is currently taking an extended sabbatical to travel and enjoy more time with her family. She was the FY24 SWE Phoenix Vice President and FY25 President and has been the Parents’ Meetup Chair for several years. Stephanie recently won the SWE Engaged Advocate Award for her long-standing commitment to STEM advocacy. She is excited to continue serving on the board as VP for FY26!


Treasurer: Maira Garcia

Maira Garcia graduated from the University of Arizona (Go Wildcats!) in 2014 with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering. After graduating she began working at Honeywell and has worked on flight controls, flight management systems, and currently works on engine controls. Outside of her engineering role, Maira is the Program Manager for the SHPE recruiting team at Honeywell and has also participated in regional and national SWE conferences to recruit on behalf of Honeywell. At SWE Phoenix, Maira held the position of Collegiate Counselor for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Prescott) for several years and in 2019 was recognized at the national level by SWE with the Outstanding SWE Counselor Award. Maira also supported Stephanie with the SWE Phoenix book club in 2022 and served as SWE Phoenix Secretary in FY24. She is excited to continue her involvement as your treasurer!


Secretary:Jovanna Gonzalez

Jovanna Gonzalez received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University in 2022. Since then, she has worked for Siemens Digital Industries under their Process Automation group where she works on automation systems for various manufacturing companies and industries. Jovanna joined SWE in 2024 and is now SWE secretary for FY26 and fitness chair FY26. She is also a Siemens SWE Ambassador for 2025. She has deeply enjoyed her time in SWE and is proud to be part of the community.
